Puzzling It Out With Your iPhone

By Thom Yarborough

Everyone loves playing puzzles and even more so if they have to be played with the rich visual effects that can be experienced in an iPhone. There are hundreds and possibly thousands of iPhone games that you can choose from iTunes, paid or free, and there are numerous puzzle based games amongst these also. Here's a look at some of these games.

Mouse

This game is reminiscent of those days when you plugged games onto a TV set and rallied around with a joystick or even of those handheld games of the eighties. In Mouse, you simply have to direct the mice to their homes using the cheese, through a maze. Sounds simple but isn't as you have to use a fair amount of strategy to get the game going to its proper conclusion.

The Frog Puzzle

This looks easy but isn't really because you have to do a bit of lateral thinking to work it out. There's a pond with some yellow and green frogs. You have to interchange the location of the frogs by jumping over one frog at a time and you have to complete the game in as few moves as possible. Once you're done, you can ask your friends to try and beat your record!

Triazzle

This game is simple enough to play but when you start it you need to give a bit of logic and thinking. In this colourful game there are triangular tiles and insects of frogs on each of them that are arranged around a large triangle. You need to fit in the triangles properly to match the pictures to finish the level. It's better than a jigsaw puzzle!

Brain Scrambler

Here's another mind boggling game for your iPhone where there are nine square tiles with pictures on them. These have to be arranged properly for the parts of the pictures to match on each tile. Truly a game which you will end up playing continuously until you get it right. You can choose from different images which will affect the level of difficulty.
