Common and Uncommon Edible Eggs

By Amy Nutt

Eggs have always been a popular delicious and nutritious food. When most people think of eggs, they think of eggs that come from a chicken. Commercially produced chicken eggs are used more often than any other type of egg and are the eggs that people will find the most in supermarkets. Although, the chicken egg is the most common egg sold, there are a wide variety of different types of eggs that are edible and tasty.

Duck Eggs: These eggs are a little larger than chicken eggs. Duck eggs contain more flavor than chicken eggs, but they have a higher level of fat. The egg white has a higher level of albumen than the chicken egg. The duck eggs available on the market are large.

Quail Eggs: These eggs are much smaller than chicken eggs, but are similar in flavor. The shells are speckled and their color varies from dark brown to blue or white. Quail eggs are commonly hard boiled and used as an appetizer or as a hors d'oeuvre.

Goose Eggs: The goose egg is larger than chicken or duck eggs. Goose eggs are very high in fat and cholesterol. They are very rich and are often used in desserts.

Turkey Eggs: The turkey eggs are much like the chicken eggs, but are larger. They are also similar in flavor. The shell colors can be white to cream with brown speckles. They are usually found in specialty markets. They are very high in cholesterol and fat.

Ostrich Eggs: One ostrich egg is equal to 20 to 24 large chicken eggs. They are mainly sold for their uniqueness. They are often used in omelets and as scrambled eggs.

Other edible eggs include Pigeon, Pheasant, and Emu. As well, there are also eggs from fish such as Salmon, Sturgeon, Cod, Shaker, Whitefish, and Hake

Two methods of acquiring eggs that are growing in popularity are Organic Eggs and Free Range Eggs. Organic eggs are produced from hens that have been given all natural feed that do not contain any pesticides or herbicides. Free-range eggs are eggs produced by hens that have been raised outdoors. Eggs are called free-range if the hens have daily access to the outdoors.

Eggs are so popular because they are a cheap and healthy food that can be made into a variety of meals such as hardboiled, coddled, shirred, omelet, frittata, soft-boiled, scrambled, fried, and poached. They are also used as a key ingredient in many food dishes.

The egg is a very nutritional food enjoyed by most people. They contain a high amount of protein and a number of vitamins, minerals and trace elements. The egg is a source of all the B vitamins. It is a primary source of vitamins B12 and B2 (riboflavin). The egg is also an important source of vitamins A and D. A medium egg has an energy value of 78 kilocalories. The fat in an egg is found mostly in the yolk.

When eaten in moderation, eggs make a substantial contribution to a healthy diet.

A Collection Of Definitive Full Length Film Write Ups

By Erin Burgess

If you arrived to see film reviews skip down to read them. To find a movie download site you need to do the right search. You should have good luck with a search like "Internet Movie Downloads"; if not then try "Fast Movie Downloads" and "Best Movie Rental".

Playing God: This film is a preposterous tale of drug addicted ex-surgeon Duchovny employed by gangster Hutton to be the personal crisis medical expert for his shot-up and sliced cronies. The improvised medical therapy is so entirely comical that it upstages the ridiculousness of the tale line. Why this film was ever made is genuinely a case for The X Files. Cast includes David Duchovny, Timothy Hutton, Angelina Jolie, Michael Massee, Peter Stormare, Gary Dourdan, John Hawkes, and Andrew Tieman. (93 minutes, 1997)

Sudden Impact: Fourth in the Dirty Harry series depends on a reliable recipe, as maverick cop gives us vicarious delight of doing in civilization's scum, although this entry is longer, and stupider, than need be. Locke plays a Lady taking out murderous reprisal on gentlemen (and one lesbian) who raped her and her sis years ago. Cast includes Clint Eastwood, Sondra Locke, Pat Hingle, Bradford Dillman, Paul Drake, Jack Thibeau, and Albert Popwell. (117 minutes, 1983)

It's the Rage: The lives of a group of seemingly distinct individuals are connected by personal problems which lead to resolutions with guns. This loud satire of individual and cultural brutality gets worse as it goes along, regardless of the attempts of an excellent cast. Cast includes Joan Allen, Jeff Daniels, Andre Braugher, Gary Sinise, Josh Brolin, Robert Forster, and Anna Paquin. (97 minutes, 2000)

Bulletproof Heart: Fortunate hit guy LaPaglia gets a job he's not really cut out for. He he hired to take out an attractive woman who is in dept with the mob. 4 well-conditioned, well-played characters containing Boyle's gloomy mobster and Craven's dimwit companion-don't count quite make this a hit. Cast includes Anthony LaPaglia, Mimi Rogers, Peter Boyle, Matt Craven, and Joseph Maher. (100 minutes, 1994)

Stage Door: Theatrical boarding home is setting for remarkable film, from an Edna Ferber and George S. Kaufman play. Dynamite cast contains Hepburn as opulent gal trying to be successful on her own, Menjou as proposing creator, Leeds as allergic actress, and a few future stars such as Lucille Ball, Ann Miller, and Eve Arden. Cast includes Katharine Hepburn, Ginger Rogers, Adolphe Menjou, Andrea Leeds, Gai Patrick, Constance Collier, Lucille Ball, Eve Arden, Ann Miller, Ralph Forbes, Franklin Pangborn, and Jack Carson. (90 minutes, 1937)

My Son the Hero: Epic film in regards to sinister Emperor Cadmus of Thebes, who challenges the lords and faces the fury of the Titans. Cast includes Pedro Armendariz, Jacqueline Sassard, Antonella Lualdi, and Giuliano Gemma. (122 minutes, 1962)

The General Died at Dawn: Fine, altruospheric drama of Oriental enthrall, with mercenary Cooper falling in love with foreign agent Carroll when fighting sinister warlord Tamiroff. Cast includes Gary Cooper, Madeleine Carroll, Akim Tamiroff, Dudley Digges, Porter Chamber, and William Frawley. (97 minutes, 1936)

Close Your Eyes: Scotland Yard investigator Henderson draws hypnothethapist Visnjic into a difficult case engaging a serial murderer and a little gal who's been shocked frombeing held hostage by him. Mixing occult factors with a whodunit, this unique, sincerely scary thriller stays on target right to the end. Cast includes Goran Visnjic, Shirley Henderson, Miranda Otto, Paddy Considine, Claire Rushbrook, Fiona Shaw, Coon Redgrave, and Sophie Stuckey (103 minutes, 2003)

Heartland: Basic, well informed tale of hearty Americans surviving the frontier life, circa 1910. Ferrell plays a youthful widow who acknowledges a job as housekeeper for dour rancher Tom in the wilds of Wyoming. Well performed, well filmed, and beautifully understated, based on the real journals of a pioneer lady. Cast includes Rip Torn, Conchata Ferrell, Barry Primus, Lilia Skala, Megan Folson, and Amy Wright. (100 minutes, 1979)

Rentals Verses Buying Heavy Equipment

By Dave Oliver

There are always going to be times when, no matter how carefully a project is planned out, there simply isn't enough equipment on hand to handle the requirements of the job without running out of time. The choices at this point are clear - rent the machines you need or go ahead and make the purchase.

This isn't always an easy decision. We know that rental companies are for profit. The prices are often high, especially for specialized equipment.

Renting equipment puts restrictions on time. Rental periods range from an hourly rate to extended time (sometimes by the month for larger equipment). Prices will vary, but generally, the longer you have the equipment, the less the rental cost per day.

Buying - When you need more equipment and don't want to rent, you can buy your equipment. Buying is the way to go if you plan on using the equipment more.

While the cost may be prohibitive, take into consideration the whole job. A company with a high profit margin and multiple jobs won't have trouble with the rental costs. A smaller company may have to consider renting for a single job.

You may have to purchase equipment once the cost of renting seems to stop making sense. While the initial cost may be a little higher, you can easily determine if it is cost-wise to buy when you factor the cost of renting over several uses versus the cost of purchasing.

When renting equipment, there is a couple of overlooked advantages. There is no need to store large, bulky tools that won't be in frequent use. You also won't be responsible for maintenance if things go wrong.

When renting, per contractual agreements, the rental company is responsible if things go wrong. All it takes is a simple phone call for a replacement. This lowers the cost incurred for maintenance when owning.

When deciding to purchase equipment, it may still be financially wise over the long haul to decide to be responsible for maintaining. When owning the equipment, you can also be sure that it is treated properly to make sure it lasts longer.

When making this decision, take all factors into consideration. Do you want a piece of machinery that will work for you for years to come, or do you just need a quick job with it? It won't matter if it's an owned piece or rental for the job at hand, but the right tools make your work easier.

Cross Menai Straits Bridge, Beautiful Anglesey Coastal Views from Classic Bridge by Telford

By David Phillips

The famous Menai Straits Bridge and road crossing to Anglesey was built by Thomas Telford, whose 250th anniversary was recently celebrated by the island. It is difficult to estimate the huge task facing Telford and his engineers as they planned what was a bold feat of engineering and a novel construction for its day, across what is a very tidal stretch of water. This is a must-see attraction and you can also walk along the Anglesey Coastal path below.

Turn back the history pages and you may see that what is the busy little town of Menai Bridge today, may have been a Roman village, which people reached by crossing in a small ferry across the Menai Straits where the gap between island and mainland is narrowest. To the north are the Lavan sands where Augustinian monks heading for Penmon Priory would struggle across at low tide, heading for Llanfaes, near Beaumaris.

Many will ask how Thomas Telford came to build this Menai Straits Bridge, an example of real engineering innovation for its time in the early nineteenth century. After Britain and Ireland moved closer under the Act of Union in 1800, there was pressure for much improved transport links and connecting the mainland to Anglesey was a major consideration.

We only have to recall the story of the composer Handel trying to get over to Dublin from Holyhead in 1742 to realise how difficult travel was between England and Ireland. Not only was it difficult to cross the Snowdon Mountains but also the sea crossing to Anglesey and then the voyage across the Irish Sea, from Holyhead to Dublin, were big challenges.

With a sea route across to Ireland and a port at Holyhead, the missing link was an improved crossing to Anglesey island. Political pressure was applied in the right places, and work began on the bridge in 1819, with the two massive landmark towers being constructed from Penmon limestone. While the bridge was originally supported by 16 huge wrought iron chain cables that reached across the 175 metres of expanse, they had to be replaced by steel cables just before the Second World War.

When you consider that a coach journey from London to Holyhead took around 36 hours before 1826, it shows how travel has been transformed since before the bridge was built. Following completion of the Menai Suspension Bridge the journey time was reduced to 27 hours. While a journey by car today from London to Holyhead can take around 6 to 7 hours, showing the benefits of Telford's Menai Straits Bridge, the internal combustion engine and modern motorways.

When you come to Anglesey, you will find there are some great coastal and wooded walks close by on both sides of this bridge, which are signposted and accessed easily. And from the bridge as you look northwards, you see Menai Bridge harbour below with small yachts and the Bangor University ocean research ship moored nearby in the tidal waters. Yachts can pass under the bridge even at high water, as they sail up towards Beaumaris and Puffin Island.

Looking south west from the bridge and down from the walkway you can see how the strong tidal waters of the Menai Straits flow down past a small island, Ynys Gorad Goch, towards the Britannia Bridge and then on past Caernarfon Castle and the open sea. On the Anglesey coastline to the south is the old Indefatigable School just beyond the Britannia Bridge road and rail crossing. The coastal views are spectacular as you inhale the fresh sea air, high up on this beautiful, iconic Menai Straits Bridge.

Double Glazed Windows

By John Mills

Double glazed windows, also known as double paned windows, are designed to eliminate drafts and provide highly effective insulation wherever windows are used. Comprised of 2 layers of glass separated by a spacer, the "dead" space between the panes is usually filled with an inert gas, further enhancing the insulating properties of the window. The spacer, most commonly made of thin gauge steel or aluminum, is of often filled with desiccant to prevent condensation between the panes. Whether placed mainly for the purpose of providing light or to take advantage of a great view, double glazed windows are available to meet any need.

There are many styles of double glazed windows. Sash and casement windows come in a variety of sizes and may be opened to allow air movement. Fixed windows and skylights may not open but provide light and, especially in the case of a picture window, an expansive view. Some double glazed windows are manufactured with decorative frames placed inside the "dead" space, giving the appearance of many panes of glass while retaining the insulating value and being easy to clean. To further enhance the insulating qualities of a window, the glass may be tinted or coated with a film of polyester or metal. In addition to protecting curtains and furniture from sun damage, some coated windows also have a reflective surface on one side.

Window selection is an important decision and double glazed windows have many advantages that should be considered. For instance, double glazed windows provide more than twice the insulating value when compared to single pane windows. In addition to insulating against heat and cold, they also significantly reduce outdoor noise. Security is another consideration. Built in locks and two layers of glass combine to create a strong, tamper-resistant window.

Double glazed windows are an investment that will pay for itself through savings in energy costs. The length of time this takes is based on a number of factors. In addition to the climate in which the building is located, the type and cost of energy used to heat and cool in that particular area also needs to be taken into consideration.

While most new construction includes double glazed windows, existing buildings are often good candidates for an upgrade. Whether replacing the windows increases the value of a property depends on a number of factors, subject to the local real estate market in the area where the building is located. Regardless of whether there is an actual increase in value, the perceived value of double glazed windows is high. Window replacement is one of the top ways to increase the comfort and value of a home.

Double glazed windows are purchased as complete units, with the glass sealed within the framing. Installation seems straightforward and a do-it-yourselfer may choose to install the windows themselves. With the proper tools and necessary skills, a property owner may be able to successfully install double glazed windows. To ensure correct installation and avoid future problems with the windows or the warranty, however, a professional is recommended.

Double glazed windows are an environmentally friendly alternative when compared with just one layer of glass. By slowing the rate of heat transmission due to the difference between temperatures inside and out, double glazed windows save a significant amount of energy and aid in the conservation of scarce resources.

Getting Deals on Airsoft Guns and Accessories

By Justin Kander

Airsoft guns can be pretty expensive, but there are many cheap models out there to choose from. Even if you want a high end model, there are ways to save on those as well.

First, you need to consider what kind of airsoft gun you want. Several types and models exist, and the specifics of the gun greatly affects how much you can save on it.

If you are looking for something simple, like an airsoft pistol, you probably will not find that large of a differential in prices between sources. Therefore, you do not need to worry about checking different places to find the best price. The local sports store will probably have what you are looking for.

Since most people prefer to get medium or high quality airsoft guns, savings do matter. It is wise to check out places like eBay to see if there is anybody selling something for a spectacular deal, as it does happen quite regularly.

There are also many airsoft stores online that have huge selections. In addition, because of natural competition, the prices can still be relatively low. Also, if you become a frequent customer of certain airsoft stores, you are eligible for special discounts.

You can also buy guns from your friends, as long as they do not want them anymore. I know many people personally who have sold their equipment after they have finished with it.

There are a few other interesting techniques for acquiring cheap airsoft guns. Nearly all flea markets have sections that are dedicated to these products, and the prices at these establishments can be amazing.

As long as you invest time and do your research, you are guaranteed to end up with a quality product at a good price. Don't be afraid to shop around, and try not to pick up the first deal you see, as there may be something better somewhere else.

How Doing Keyword Research Will Increase Your PPC Advertising Profits

By Anthony M. Flores

PPC advertising without proper keyword research is an absolute waste of money and resources. You can easily do this kind of research which will get you well on your way to forming an efficient method for marketing.

Why is it most important? Because you want to know what people are typing when they search. Then knowing those keywords, you can put those exact words into the Text Ad for your Pay Per Click Campaign. You want those words in the Headline, then in the body of the ad, and if you can even have them in the URL itself, all the better! Bottom line " You want to have those keywords all over your ad, and it will increase the likelihood of someone clicking on it. But it is much more than just that.

So while the first element is to mirror what someone is typing in, the second element is to take that list and narrow it down to what keywords to bid on to effectively sell what you have. Now this list may grow, but once you start with a good core list of words, then you can do different variations of that core list. But we need a good starting point and proper keyword research and some common sense will help us build that list.

For example, say you are selling cars. You can go to Google Adwords and find out how many times cars or used cars or used cars for sale or used BMW for sale has been searched. You would truly want to start with a larger sample of words, but for this exercise we will use just these 4 keywords.

Cars gets 151,000,000 searches a month. 151 Million! Thats a great word right? Wrong. Even though it gets the most people searching for it, bidding on the term cars would be a complete waste of money. Why? Because it could be searched for almost any reason, and is not specific enough. Especially if were selling used cars.

Using that term will get you closer to the best keyword. Even that gets 550,000 searches a month. However it may not be exactly what you want. Again, you should be wondering why. If you only sell BMW cars, then you still need to be more specific. Do you understand what direction we are going now? You need to employ your common sense here. You need to find a list of keywords that is relevant to exactly what your are selling. In this case, 'used bmw for sale,' would be the best choice.

You should continue your research by including all cities you are selling to and maybe even narrow your research more by including a model number. For example, 'used 325 bmw for sale in Los Angeles'. That would give you the most accurate information for your clientele.

Elephantine Island of the Nile River

By John Stone

Known to the Ancient Egyptians as Abu or Yabu, meaning elephant, Elephantine Island is a truly ancient site resting as it does at the First Cataract of the Nile, and creating a natural boundary between Egypt and Nubia.

Being the largest island at Aswan, it was easily defensible and at one time was thought to be a major ivory trading center, possibly giving rise to its name. But rumor has it the name may also arise from the elephant-shaped granite boulders lying around its shores.

It is said that Khnum, the ram-headed god of the cataracts, lived in caves beneath the island and controlled the waters of the Nile. Nowadays, the southern tip of the island holds the ruins of the Temple of Khnurn, which was rebuilt in the 30th dynasty. Up until 1822, there were also temples to Thutmose III and Amenhotep III here, but the Ottoman government in their wisdom destroyed them.

Elephantine is an exquisite island, steeped in ancient history and blessed with significant artifacts. Transported instantly back in time, you wander under banana trees and date palms through colorful Nubian villages with narrow, dusty alleyways and mud houses painted or carved with crocodiles and fish.

On the edge of the island is one of the oldest Nilometers in Egypt. It is a stone `yardstick' used to measure the height of the River Nile. It was last reconstructed in Roman times and was still in use as late as the 19th century.

Its 90 steps, leading down to the river, are marked with Hindu-Arabic, Roman and hieroglyphic numerals, and inscriptions carved deep into the rock during the 17th century can be seen at the water's edge.

Elephantine Island is a green, flower-festooned oasis of calm lapped by the turquoise waters of the Nile and clinging quietly to its exotic past.

There Was Never A Better Time To Invest In Real Estate

By Ryan Williams

The current economic crisis and the chance of an coming recession has driven the normal real estate market, which worked on speculation and gambling to a virtual standstill. The credit that usually sustained it has dried up as savings associations have started to en masse recall their loans and to bring foreclosures down upon those who have defaulted.

A direct side effect has been the falling of house prices to their lowest point in a very long time as debt weary owners desiring to unload their homes before they are foreclosed are selling their houses for far below their market value. This means that the opportunity to purchase investment properties is here.

There is always a market for reasonably priced good homes even in the midst of a potentially explosive financial climate. In addition, housing markets tend to be cyclical and prices will eventually return so their current nadir, as long as it lasts, may be the end opportunity to buy investment properties at such bargain prices. The amount of property anxiously on sale at more than reasonable prices fringes on the impossible.

Investors who are well versed enough in real estate, are aware of market tendencies and are willing to run the risk which can be as high or low as the investor feels cozy with stand to make a massive profit in the middle and long term.

Whether an investor is seeking to buy a property to resell it immediately or to fix it up before selling, this is a great time. As long as the investor is disciplined, evenhanded, methodical and not hoping to make a quick and simple buck there has not been as a propitious time to buy valuable real estate on the cheap in a long time. This is no time for people on the fence or amateurs who depend upon luck and smooth talk. For serious businessmen, however, the opportunities are yours for the taking.
